I am coming from using a Garmin fenix 3hr and my new Apple Watch should be here tomorrow. One thing that has always been handy on my Garmin is that it would buzz if it lost contact with my phone. It was very useful for letting me know that I have left my phone sitting somewhere. I know the Apple Watch has a "find my phone" feature, but is there an app that will let you know when you don't have your phone nearby?

There's no app, but if you swipe up from the bottom the Apple Watch screen you'll see a green iPhone icon at th top left if you're connected to your iPhone. If not, the icon will be red. There is a ping your iPhone feature that will cause your iPhone to beep if you misplaced it. To access this feature swipe up from the bottom of any watch face and tap on the iPhone icon just below the battery percentage reading.
