I've preordered an Series 3 GPS + Cellular Silver 42mm with fog sports band.

I considered getting the GPS only modle. I carry my phone pretty much everwhere. Even my choice of exercise (when I'm motivated enought to do so) doesn't benifit from leaving the phone at home. I walk (in street cloths) or ride a bike. I got the LTE model for a few reasons.

It is a backup phone. If I break or lose the iPhone, I will still have basic phone and messaging service. Well, in town. I'm not expecting the watch to have the same range as a full sized phone.

Second, even though I don't see an immediate everyday use for LTE now, it's likely someone will come up with a new service that I'd like to use over the next two to three years I expect to be wearing my new watch. Better to spend an extra $70 now than be forced to upgrade early (or do without). Also, the LTE watch has more storage, which could affect it's useful lifespan.

Finally, I'm still waring an original AppleWatch, so this is a big upgrade for me. My philosphy has always been to buy the best you can afford when you upgrade. You'll save money in the long run by having to upgrade less often. I'd like to get three years use out of this one too.

Note: I was waffling between the space gray or silver with the new sports loop band; but both of these were already back ordered 2 - 3 weeks 12 minutes after they were available for sale. I guess I can always pick up a different band later.

The watch arived about an hour ago. It’s all set up and already starting to be boring. :)

I have to say I really like how responsive it is. It is a huge difference from the original. Having Siri respond quickly, and by voice is awesome.

This is my current stable of watch faces. I can’t remember what I set up the yellow modular face for; but the others all have specific use cases. Until now the color modular face was the most used. The Siri face might replace it, if it’s as intelligent as Apple claims it is.
