Hi. I’ve had my Apple Watch 6 less than 3 weeks and I’ve just noticed that the screen is cracked. I have no idea how it’s happened I’m just at home not doing very much due to lockdown restrictions!! Is there any point contacting apple to say I’m unhappy it’s cracked so soon - or do I just take out apple care. I’m pretty sure it’s a crack rather than a deep scratch Thanks
It can't hurt to contact Apple. The worst they can do is nothing, which is no different than what you get if you don't ask. If you have AppleCare, then you probably have a reduced priced replacement/repair available. If you did not purchase AppleCare, it's still possible that Apple will consider the damage to be under warranty. I can't be certain of either. I'm not familiar enough with the Apple Watch warranty and AppleCare terms.
The mark on the crystal looks like it doesn’t go to the edges of the screen. If it’s just in the middle area if the screen it’s almost certainly not a crack. Try looking at it under magnification to see if it extends further than can be seen in your photo.
@pinkcupcakes I agree that it does not appear to be cracked from edge to edge. I would agree with calling Apple support or Apple Care for appropriate cleaning or polishing methods. It looks like a “mar” of scuff. I thought that Apple Care was applied for first 90 days. Do you have the aluminum model? If yes, I recall that crystal is not as hard as the other models.
