Iphone connection

    Yesterday I installed ios 11.2.2 on my iphone 6. Now my series 2 apple watch had lost connectivity. The watch show the green symbol that it is connected to the phone but nothing syncs. When I check for software update on watch app on phone, I get a message that there is no connection. Is there any setting to fix or do I need to unpair and re-pair

    Try restarting your iPhone. If that doesn't work, restart your Apple Watch. Sometimes you have to restart more than once.

    This has happened to me several times and once it took three or four restarts to get it working properly.
    Unpairing and repairing your Apple Watch could be used as a last resort but make sure you have an encrypted backup of your iPhone before you start.

    Finally got it working. Restarted about a dozen times with no results so finally un paired and re paired. It reinstalled all settings perfectly from backup. The only thing I had to re enter was the wallet contents, a good thing

    Cards in Apple Pay are never included in a backup as a security measure. That way even if someone was able to access your backup they wouldn’t get access to your credit and debit cards.
