I recently updated my OS to the latest version, since then my apps are sluggish and the watch has run out of battery twice after being fully charged and using power reserve overnight. I had to charge it earlier today like around 2:30 and itt is now at 65%. I do nothing on my watch except check my activity and get weather notifications. Is anyone else having similar problems after the update? My watch is a 40mm Series 4.

I too have a series 4 which I updated to OS5.2.1 the other day, and I’ve not noticed any drop in battery performance at all.

Try unpairing and repairing your watch.

I've moved your post and it's responses to their own thread where it will get more attention.

Well, I updated my series 4 to Watch OS 5.3.1 the other day and now I’m seeing a drop in battery performance.
Not sure if it’s because I’m pairing it with my iPhone XR on iOS13.1 public beta, or whether it’s the watch firmware.
I used to get two days from a full charge, and now I have to charge it every night.

If you have not already done so, try resetting the watch by holding down the crown and side button at the same time until the Apple Logo appears. This will make sure that all apps get restarted. Resetting and/or restarting is a good practice anytime you update the watch or other iOS device. I usually do it before the update and after. Before so that the device is running it’s best, and less likely to glitch during the update. After, in case any left over code managed to sneak by the update restart.

That’s something I’d not thought of doing twerppoet. I’ve just reset it and we’ll see how it goes.

After the reset, the battery life seems to be a bit better, but I’ll wait until the full iOS13 update is released and then update my watch as well and we’ll see if that makes any difference.
