Hi. I’ve just installed the latest iWatch update and the prominent haptic is now hardly noticeable. Has anyone else had the same issue and, if so, is there a fix?

Do you have prominent set? It is not the default. Go to Apple Watch -> Settings -> Sounds / Haptics on the iPhone. Change to prominent. If already set, my Series 3 can be felt - maybe seems a bit lighter when I am otherwise occupied.

Try with Apple Maps and navigation on. I can feel it pretty well then.

Yes. I’ve set it to prominent but it’s actually stronger on normal

Hmmm. I will try that out tomorrow. Sorry that I wasn’t much help, but I will try Normal/Default tomorrow to test out. You could be onto something.

After the update the auto start of Outdoor Walk didn’t work either. I smell a rat

If you haven’t already done so:

After an update it is a good idea to power the device down and restart. It’s also a good idea to do it before an update. The first should help clear any conflicting settings features that might have changed with the update. The second makes it less likely that the watch will crash or have other hiccups during the update.

I admit that I don’t always do this; but it is the first thing I do if I notice issues; whether after an update or any other time. Small as it is, it’s still a computer, and computers need to be restarted now and then.

I also have noticed that with the latest update, normal seems more powerful than prominent. They seem to be reversed. I wondered if it as due to my having and older, series 2 , watch
