Is it possible to get Whatsapp notifications on my Apple Watch?
Go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Tap on the My Watch tab, then tap on Notifications. Tap on Mirror iPhone Alerts. Make sure the switch for WhatsApp is turned on. Second, make sure that WhatsApp notifications in Settings>Notifications are turned on on your iPhone.
Thank you. It's working perfectly now.
You're welcome. I'm glad I could help.
Whatsapp doesnt show there for me? What do I need to do!?
Where doesn't the WhatsApp show, in notifications on your iPhone or on your Apple Watch?
on my Apple watch under notifications
on my apple watch app on my iphone that should read^^
If you open the Watch app on your iPhone and got to My Watch>Settings and scroll down the list to the WhatsApp icon and tap it, is it installed on your Apple Watch?
Is WhatsApp installed on your iPhone?
have rectified this now - cheers
What was the problem and how did you solve it? The answer may help others with similar problems.
I had Whatsapp notification on my phone turned off. So it wasnt mirroring on my phone!
Thanks for letting us know how you solved the problem. All too often the solution is simpler than we imagine.
I have read through this thread and many others and I still cant get Whatsapp to show on my apple watch app on my phone. So I can turn on watch notifications
Hopefully below answers all the easy questions
I own and apple watch 2 and iphone 6 have all the latest OS versions installed (phone and watch)
I have whatsapp on my phone (use it regularly). I have notifications turned on.
I go into the watch app on my phone and nowhere is Whatsapp to be found. When I look under 'my Watch' and scroll through all the apps, Whatsapp isn't there.
If I go into Notifications in the watch app on my phone, again Whatsapp isn't an option. But at the bottom a number of other apps that aren't installed on my watch, such as Airbnb and Deliveroo for example do show up as options to 'Mirror iPhone'.
Any help here on what I'm missing would be appreciated.
I am also in the UK if that makes any difference.
That's because WhatsApp hasn't got an Apple Watch app. I just checked the listing in the App Store and there's no mention of an Apple Watch app. If you have notifications turned on on your iPhone, you should still receive the notifications on your Apple Watch. I have several apps on my iPhone that send notifications to my Apple Watch even though there's no corresponding Apple Watch app.
If it helps there’s an Apple watch app called WatchChat that will enable you to send and respond to WhatsApp messages.
