    Hi All
Is there anyway to bypass the region or use blood oxygen and ecg on apple watch 6 when your region is not yet supported. ?

You can change the region of the Apple watch in the Watch app in the My Watch tab under the General settings. I do not know if this will enable blood oxygen and ECG. There may be minor consequences like changed date/time formats and having to put up with imperial units for distances.

Access to those features is done by a watchOS update which activates the features in those countries where Apple has agreements to allow the apps to function. Whether or not these features work on a particular watch is based on where the watch was sold. You’ll have to wait till the features are activated for your country.

I can’t find any kind of promised or implied release schedule. Just a list of countries each feature is available in. As you noted, Namibia is not listed.

Apple rarely announces it’s schedule for these kinds of things. Probably because they don’t want to take the bad publicity for failing to keep a promise that mostly depends on the regulatory process they have little control over. The most they do is say something like x number of countries in the next x months/years. I can’t even find this much, but I admit I did not spend a lot of time looking.

I’m sorry you can’t use these features yet. But, as I tell myself before I buy, never buy a promise. If it doesn’t do it yet, then make sure that what it does now is already worth the purchase. I think the Series 6 meets that. I’m hoping you’re not disappointed with your watch, even if it does not do everything you’d hoped for as yet.

Im happy with the watch. Its just feels like you have a four by four truck, but at this moment you may only drive it in 2 wheel drive.

You’re welcome. I hope Apple gets the features approved and activated in your country soon.

I’m afraid not. Your ability to access those features is determined by the local regulations and which country your Apple Watch was originally sold in. When your country approves the features they will be activated by way of a watchOS update.

You’d need a Spanish address, AppleID and credit card to take advantage of the features.

If you can find a watch face that allows pedometer++ as a complication you might get the steps showing on the watch face.

Those would be unofficial sources of watch faces for your Apple Watch. Several members have posted photos or this type of watch face on the forum. Maybe one of them will reply.
