When in my home walking, the indoor walk records steps/activity fine. But if I go to a large store (super WalMart) it does not track activity. Not complaining, just curious as to why. (Of course same with Perimeter ++ app)

Do you use a shopping cart? If your hands are resting on the shopping cart they probably aren’t swinging or transmiting the slight shock of steps to the watch’s sensors.

That's it! It is the shopping cart. I wasn't sure how the watch "sensed" the steps, I thought it was a "distance traveled divided by step size" measurement or something. Thank you for the answer.
