When I use my watch for a workout, it shows I have burned more calories. Then when I look at my activities it says less calories. Can someone explain why? It just seems out of whack. Isn't the workout calories combined with the activities. It is confusing.

It might take a while, but eventually the Activities calorie count should be higher than the Workout count; since Activities includes your workout and general movement during the day. That might not be true if you don't save the Workout; though it's supposed to save it automatically after a while if you forget (watchOS 2).

Note when you look at the workout on the iPhone in the Activities app, you'll see two counts. Active Calories, and Total. I'm not certain, but I believe the first is how many extra calories you burned because you exercised, and the total is that plus what you would normally burn just for being awake.
